F. W. Brander

itinerant painter

active c. 1920's-40's

An artist who travelled the world, including here in Banff, Lake Louise and Waterton, yet little is known of this person (considered to be British) who painted charming scenes wherever he/she journeyed. Judging by the wealth of traditional English watercolors from so many parts of the world, this artist covered a lot of ground.

Is there a connection to the military or perhaps the diplomatic corps through his/her work, which would help explain all the travel?
